Position Summary: The Vice President of Sales + Trade Marketing, Americas will be tasked with building and growing (MALIN+GOETZ) retail channel from Canada down through the Americas while doubling the door count over the next 3 years. This individual will be responsible for the growth of the business with a consumer-centric, hands-on approach. Qualified candidates must also have experience developing strategies required for success and maximizing key consumer centric KPIs, including traffic, conversion, and revenue, with strengths in merchandising, sales forecasting, driving Retail, and D2C. This candidate also has responsibility over a limited number of Wholesale + amenity accounts across the region. They must be excited by building a multichannel distribution strategy from Canada down to Brazil. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the position will be based at the company’s offices in New York City.

- Analyze territories and prepare market reports, assessing their viability and level of opportunity for the business.
- Assist in preparing internal reports, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Develop the strategy to deliver the business growth. Drive the success of the Wholesale channel through forecasting, budgeting, key account planning, and brand execution.
- Support ongoing client-scouting activity, identifying wholesale as well as retail developers who would be suitable to become partners.
- Liaise with other company departments as needed (e.g., Marketing, Operations, etc.), to facilitate the overall success of the business in the region.
- Support the Chief Executive Officer with messaging and presentations to strategic players in the local industries, including the retail development community as well as other existing and prospective strategic partners.
- Drive the expansion of the (MALIN+GOETZ) retail stores across the Americas, by leading sales activities throughout the region, opening new doors, including site selection, negotiating leases and store build outs.
- Qualify enquiries, prospective clients, and projects, conducting due diligence on the proposed projects and engaging with the counterparts as needed.
- Support the execution of the company’s sales strategy across its entire portfolio of products and services, including new products, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
- Manage relationships at C-Level with business partners, both independently as well as in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer, ensuring the success of the existing and prospective business in the region.
- Actively represent the company in in the region, attending events relevant to the company’s development activities.
- Monitor all sales operations within the region, recording all key actions/tasks and maintaining a customer database.
- Proactively inform the management and leadership teams of current and emerging market trends.
- Oversee and lead P&L budgets and ROI targets for Sales that tie back to people, programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Create positive awareness of the business within the beauty industry, and the retail development community, across the region.
Education/Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience at the Vice President level.
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A seasoned executive with an outstanding reputation for his/her strategic business judgment, leadership skills and integrity, who can accomplish goals in a timely, productive, and fiscally responsible manner.
- Proven experience in dealing with a diverse array of counterparts at senior level (C-suite) throughout the region.
- Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, be creative and establish priorities to support business development in a competitive market.
- 12+ years of experience in business development and/or general management, preferably within the retail development and/or entertainment industries.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to successfully manage sales operations and support senior executives within a global organization.
- Ability to adapt to diverse business environments and different cultures, across a variety of different territories.
- High degree of flexibility required for frequent international travel; must hold valid passport.
- Excellent communications skills for various settings.
