and Responsibilities

McLane Global is looking for a Vice President of Logistical Services to oversee McLane’s distribution centers to:

·Promote a Company Culture of Respect, Integrity, Great Attitude, High Standards and Teamwork,

·Provide leadership and mentorship to their team,

·Educate the DC Managers and ensure they are self-reliant and knowledgeable of all aspects running a DC,

·Ensure all team members are accountable and procedures are in place to promote from within,

·Establish and maintain meaningful KPIs that drive performance, efficiencies and accuracy,

·Provide entrepreneurial spirit and forward thinking to grow McLane Global’s footprint, customer reach and offerings,

·Ensure policies and procedures are up to date and promote safety, minimize risk and maximize performance and well-being,

·Ensure all DCs are efficiently run and best in class in cleanliness, organization, speed and accuracy,

·Establish budgets with the CEO and ensure distribution centers meet those goals,

·Safeguard company assets by ensuring team properly handles/maintains inventory, equipment is kept in excel and,

·Build strong relationships with customers,

·Ensure all DCs provide outstanding Customer Service, and

·Maintain and increase profitability by understanding 3PL pricing models and ensuring service, kitting/project and storage revenue for each customer meets or exceeds expectations.

Position Requirements

The Vice President of Logistical Services has strong people management skills, works well as part of a team and can work effortlessly under pressure and has the following credentials/abilities:

• Customer Service– Have a history of achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, dispatching, and handling goods.
• LANGUAGE – Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
• Leadership Skills– Have ability to motivate the team, provide guidance, nurture talent and delegate tasks.
• Education – Bachelor’s degree at a minimum.
• Process Improvement - Lean Master or Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent Quality certification a plus.
• Numerical/Analytical Abilities– Have comprehensive understanding of reading income statement, identifying numerical trends, pricing 3PL activity and measuring KPIs.
• Entrepreneur – Be capable of running the distribution centers as one’s own business by improving efficiency, having self-determination and grit, and seeing things through to the end.
• Third Party Logistics Experience – The Vice President of Logistical Services must have at least five years managing a third-party logistics warehouse.Cross-dock facilities are excluded.
• Communication Skills– Provide clear verbal or written instructions so that the expectations of employees are fully understood.
• Overall Logistics Experience – At least 10 years’ experience in the logistics industry.
• Systems/Technology – Comfortable with warehouse management systems, understanding setup and transactional data. D365 experience a plus
