L’Oréal has led the Digital Transformation of the Beauty Industry. Our focus on Digital was early and intense and as a result, we have built over 150 rich content and commerce websites to engage consumers and small businesses, crafted a Consumer Data Lake to capture and activate data on many millions of consumers, and created unique Media and ERetail solutions to optimize our business across the 10+ countries in the Americas. While we continue to emphasize Digital our brands are increasingly employing omni-channel strategies and so we are reimaging our structure to be O+O+O (Online, Omnisales, and Open Innovation). Digital IT is the current name of the Team and “Online” is the evolutionary Name.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage a 50M USD OPEX budget
  • Manage 60+ HC who are highly motivated and committed to their road to excellence across NY, NJ, Montreal, Mexico City, and Rio De Janeiro
  • Partner with the CDMOs in the Americas to drive and execute their digital strategies that engage and delight consumers across 30+ brands in 12+ countries.
  • Manage a portfolio of > 20 substantial programs/projects
  • Direct 4 subdomains: E-commerce, Content, Consumer Data, & Martech/AdTech
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and management of the various partners (SW & Tech vendors, Consulting, Integrators)
  • Ensure compliance with the planning, deadlines, and quality standards
  • Deliver Digital Products, Programs and Major Projects (core and roll outs for all Brands)
  • Set up and improve operating and delivery models
  • Lead the Americas digital IT community and ensure program consistency at the worldwide level
  • Strategize with business partners to ensure IT enablement of all new business initiatives
What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong expert in E-commerce, digital, IT (Program management, budget management, change management, transformation) and omni-channel business
  • Technical delivery and achievement oriented mindset
  • 10 to 15 years of experience as IT VP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quick learner and fast thinker: to get all the context in a short period and to be able to integrate properly into all the topics, with strong support from O+O+O and CIO.
  • Empathy: Personal caring about the people’s situations and thoughtful on the best and the healthiest team dynamic and climate for the team
  • Dynamism: We have a great speed of business and today we would like to recruit the one who will play as a real driver and passionate example for all teams, including direct team and colleagues all around the structure.
  • Be able to sell, to inspire, to motivate, to drive, but at the same time be able to push where is necessary and relevant and to follow the diverse agendas of the entities
  • Ability to evolve in a multi-stakeholder and multi-cultural context. L’Oreal is a very complex organization where the candidate will have to apply different leadership skills to influence stakeholders, sitting in the very different corners of the structure.
  • Excellent communication & good public speaking skills
  • Leadership: In its best meaning of the word – the one who drives their team by example, expertise and vision, shows the way to go, cascades the strategy to the action plan and road map. Also on the counterparties side the one who presents shiny and bright Digital IT digital deliveries and ideas, who convince stakeholders by great presenting and inspiring speech and who is really brave and courageous to play the game. Also the one who develops his own team and gives enough visibility to people’s achievements.

Salary Range: $177,300 - $252,700 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
