THE ROLE

Live Nation Entertainment’s Corporate Security team is looking for an execution-oriented Vice President of Security Operations for North and Latin America. This position, reporting to the Chief Security Officer (CSO), helps oversee and coordinate best practice security efforts across the company. The candidate’s direct reports will include geographically dispersed Senior Directors and Directors of Security within separate divisions.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Serve as the primary back-up to the CSO for security operations within the North America and Latin America regions.
  • Assist in vetting outside resources, reviewing security contracts, overseeing investigations and security operations, and crisis/incident management and response planning.
  • Assist the CSO to identify security goals, objectives, and metrics consistent with the corporate strategic plan.
  • Assist the CSO with oversight of a network of security operations directors who promote global security best practices and objectives within the individual business lines.
  • Facilitate and maintain relationships with regional, Federal and international law enforcement and related government agencies.
  • Participate in brainstorming, ideas generation and budget/operations planning with the CSO and others to set priorities and goals for each year, solve identified challenges and prioritize/plan activities.
  • Achieve a working knowledge of Live Nation Entertainment’s business lines, assets, policies, operations, people, and objectives.
  • Help identify appropriate security technologies and solutions that will positively impact operations, fan experience and business objectives.
  • Assist with the hiring of Directors for all security business lines. Provide guidance, liaison, and assistance as needed to facilitate success in meeting global physical security goals/objectives.
  • Assist the CSO to lead operational risk management activities related to the physical security of Live Nation’s venues, employees, vendors, fans, and artists to enhance the value of the company and the brand.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • 20+ years of professional experience within security-related organizations leading live entertainment, law enforcement and/or intelligence operations.
  • Must be highly flexible, creative, comfortable with ambiguity, and committed to win-win solutions to complex issues.
  • Must be an intelligent, articulate, proactive and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of a dispersed team.
  • Must be able to discuss, evaluate, and negotiate security-related concepts with a broad audience of technical and non-technical staff.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required, Graduate degree a plus
  • Should have experience with change management and operating in a highly decentralized organizational structure.
