North America Procurement Manager

This position reports directly to the Head of SSC Global and will support our North America business. The Procurement Manager role will drive procurement standardization, track procurement savings, build procurement processes, policies & procedures for Bodycote, while driving simplification for end users, reducing the number of suppliers and cost. This includes organized and methodical approach in procurement with risk assessment against market, current global situation and Group’s financial targets.

In implementing these objectives, this position holder will be responsible for ensuring a seamless delivery of these services, in support of our overall goal of maintaining a safe, healthy, and uninterrupted work environment at the lowest cost possible. The role will be located in Dallas, TX.

Major Responsibilities

• Set up and implement procurement processes, policies and controls across all the divisions and functions
• Review existing plant processes and procedures, evaluating them against new technology applications with focus toward continuous improvement
• Develop and implement procurement strategy for Bodycote in North America
• Drive simplification and standardization in procurement while reducing the number of suppliers and cost
• Centralize purchasing for all North America plants & offices
• Analyze and communicate the financial impact of procurement strategy while building robust controls
• Assess and continuously improve Group procurement reporting system to control cost
• Support the plant related questions in regards of procurement and serve as an North America point of contact and solution expert in this field
• Build cost-effective economy of scale solutions in procurement of heavy capital related commodities

We Are Seeking Candidates With The Following Qualifications

• Working knowledge of cost reduction while maintain the quality by implementing robust program and policies for large organization
• Experience with setting up procurement strategy, processes and improvements
• Experience with leading multi-country procurement in matrix organization while serving multiple functions or business lines
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency required
• Education – Bachelor’s Degree preferred in financial discipline and/or engineering preferred
• Ability to travel up to 25% or as needed.
• Experience in commodity and strategic buyer roles preferred
• This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
• Experience in supplier management
