Position within the Organization:
This role sits within the Global Commercial Team and reports to the Commercial Manager - America's.
Key Purpose:
Sofis is looking to expand its sales team by adding a new Sales Manager who will be responsible for the profitable and sustainable growth of the company’s revenue in The Americas Region. The main goal of this role is to help process plants increase their efficiency and safety levels by implementing Sofis solutions.
Success requires an in-depth understanding of the customer’s challenges and problems to create the ideal solution. The Sales Manager will build relationships with high potential customers to identify sales opportunities and will coordinate efforts with agents / distributors, and a team of inside sales, customer service and site technicians to ensure customer success and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
- Develop a network of agents and distributors to be able to reach all high potential customers in your sales territory .
- Feedback customers’ needs, goals and market trends to the business development team to help identify new product development opportunities.
- Maintain a funnel & pipeline of opportunities to produce a monthly and yearly sales forecast for the company’s management
- Develop customized solutions to solve customers’ problems and sell these solutions based on the value created for the customer
- Develop a 3-years strategy plan and yearly action plans to grow revenue from identified target customers.
- Foster close teamwork within the team covering the area, including inside sales representative, customer service agent, field service specialist and service technicians.
- Engage with key players at prospect customers to identify challenges and problems that can be solved with Sofis products.
- Achieve sales and order intake target through existing customers, channel partners and new business
- Become a specialist of the applications for Sofis products in the energy and process industries, being able to lead technical discussions and presentations with stakeholders in these industries.
Requirements:
- Pro-active and results driven, you have an outstanding track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales and/or Mechanical / Industrial Engineering.
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering and or mechanical/electrical solutions (preferably valves).
- You set high standards for yourself and others in the pursuit of excellence, honesty, integrity, and trust.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated sales professional, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- You will preferably have worked within a B2B sales environment with a technical / manufacturing company.
- You have excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to conduct meetings.
- You are a hunter for new business opportunities.
- You have relevant experience in the Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Refining or Water industries.
- You think strategically to identify high potential opportunities and replicable success.
- Travel requirements up to 50%.
- You are a team player and have strong leadership credentials for future growth opportunities.
- You will have a strong intellect and enjoy solving problems by ensuring practical solutions are implemented.
