Apply your expertise as an Internal Communications Specialist in the North America Marketing and Communications team!
As an expert in Internal Communications, you will put your storytelling skills to work by keeping Valmet North America employees informed, engaged, and excited about the company’s vision, goals, projects, events, etc. You will work across teams including Marketing, Sales, Area Management, Human Resources, Product Management, Project Management and more to support the brand mission and evolve our internal story and morale. This position will be based in one of Valmet's offices located in: Atlanta, GA, Nashua, NH, Beloit WI, USA; or Toronto and Montreal, Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Work with the different locations and businesses to improve readership of Flow (Intranet) in NA - establishing an editorial calendar and ensuring a regular cadence of stories and strategic announcements.
  • Establish guidelines and procedures for the communication of strategic topics and releases (location monitors, location Flow pages, internal email, and more).
  • Create and implement an internal communications Annual Clock in North America.
  • Develop and execute activities to inform and engage employees, enhance Valmet culture, and support strategy implementation.
  • Enhance activities related to strategic internal communications and quarterly townhall meetings.
  • Work alongside the HR team to strengthen Employee Value Proposition (EVP) communications.
  • Implement brand guidelines in all NA locations to ensure consistency in brand implementation (e.g. offices and presentations).
  • Reporting on and measurement of communication KPIs that identify the type of content, information, and knowledge that employees and key stakeholders are most interested in.
  • Work closely with the NA Marketing and Communications team to improve coordination of internal marketing actions related to product launches and major internal and external events.
Expectations
  • Working knowledge of project management and Intranet platforms
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with internal audiences, cross-functional teams and other stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • 3+ years of experience managing Communications programs, B2B or manufacturing-related experience a plus
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
