Job Description

This Lead Finance Officer (LFO), SVP will be responsible for supporting the COO, CAO and CBNA senior leads, and will report directly to the Transformation LFO, this LFO role will specifically support senior leaders driving the Transformation program of the firm and is responsible for partnering and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, including the Executive Management Team and their respective COOs and CAOs. The role will engage and drive the relationship with the business partners through strategic leadership, execution of key priorities, providing thoughtful challenge and insightful analysis.

The role will drive strategic outcomes through partnering with key leadership across the firm. The role interacts closely with Business Finance teams and will leverage these interactions to provide transparency into investments, drivers of cost, and associated benefits.

The LFO teams play a key role in the day-to-day of the businesses, with ownership of the overall budget and plan, is accountable for business review materials, and partnering across the firm to ensure a deep understanding of financial investments, resource management, driving operational efficiency and the execution of the business strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Engage and drive the relationship with business partners through strategic leadership, execution of key priorities, thoughtful challenge, and insightful analysis
  • Manage the relationships, book of work and expectations with the Mumbai and Costa Rica teams
  • Own and have accountability for business review materials, QBRs, metrics and reporting, in partnership with other key business contacts, ensuring both the financial and strategic story aligns with overall business strategy
  • Drive opportunities and the execution of optimization and efficiencies within the business and functional areas
  • Drive and have accountability for reviewing investment strategies, having a deep understanding of business cases, fully understanding the proposed work and being able to articulate the outcomes and benefits of the investments
  • Responsible for oversight and approval of changes to an approved plan or outlook for day-to-day execution and strategic efforts
  • Own (provide insight & input in) the overall budget and forecast planning, through engagement with business and other partners; provide insightful input into reporting and variances, utilizing financial report output created by the FP&A team
  • Drive risk & control agenda including data accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and metrics; identify, assess, and escalate risks
  • Partner and act as a trusted advisor to an EMT member, business, and functional partners for all strategic and tactical financial business decisions
  • Lead the strategy, execution and implementation of finance specific programs, projects and/or exercises
  • Drive transparency and understanding of the charge out of function costs to lines of business including quarterly updates and annual roundtables
  • Provide strategy for driving change within your own team inclusive of transformation efforts, e. g., process efficiency, reduction of EUCs, etc.
  • Support and contribute to the overall Finance organization Transformation agenda
  • Prepare updates which provide an overview of the status and health of your teams including, headcount, recruiting, employee feedback, attrition, etc.
  • Partner with Chief Operating Officer of each function to ensure disciplined process for resource management and alignment of technology spend with strategic priorities

Qualifications:

  • Experience in business/corporate strategy is a plus
  • The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in Finance or related fields, with experience interacting with and influencing senior managers, leading, and managing C-level leaders
  • Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities
  • Results/task orientated with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience supporting functional disciplines a plus
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • Exceptional analytical skills, combined with an ability to deliver analysis in a concise manner
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with senior executives
  • Excellent communication skills (written / verbal)
