Position Overview:
The CFO/COO will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational management of Outset Global. This dual-role executive will oversee the financial operations and ensure the broker-dealer remains compliant with FINRA regulations, while also spearheading operational strategies and tactics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management within a broker-dealer environment and possess an in-depth understanding of FINRA rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight:
--Direct and oversee all financial functions including accounting and reporting.
--Manage firm capital to ensure adequate net capital compliance.
--Ensure accuracy and compliance of FOCUS reports and other financial filings.
Regulatory & Compliance:
--Maintain current knowledge of FINRA, SEC, and other regulatory body requirements.
--Ensure the company is in compliance with all FINRA regulations.
--Coordinate with compliance staff and external auditors on annual audits and reviews.
Operational Management:
--Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
--Develop and implement operational strategies, structures, and processes with the use of technology/automation
--Collaborate with other executive team members on company strategy and execution.
Risk Management:
--Monitor and manage firm risks, ensuring they are in line with the firm's risk appetite.
--Oversee the creation and management of an effective business continuity plan.
Team Leadership & Development:
Ensure appropriate training programs for staff on industry-specific topics and compliance.
Qualifications:
--Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; Master's or MBA preferred.
--Current Series 27 (FINRA Financial and Operations Principal) license.
--Extensive experience in a broker-dealer environment, with a strong understanding of FINRA rules and regulations.
--Proven experience in financial management, operations, and strategy development.
--Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
