Interim Accounting Manager – Venture Capital – New York, NY

We are currently seeking candidates for Interim Accounting Manager position located in New York, NY. The position is with an industry leading Venture Capital firm that invests in early-stage technology companies. The Interim Accounting Manager is responsible for providing accounting support to the firm’s GP Services Team and the Management Company. The ideal candidate will have experience with NetSuite, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting. All candidates considered must be “hands-on” and have relevant NetSuite experience. This is a hybrid position that will work on-site 2 days a week.

This is a 6-9+ month contract assignment that will pay $60 - $70/hr within a 45-hour work week.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the AP team with process accounts payable as needed
• Maintain the general ledger
• Work with outside auditors to ensure the accuracy of financial statements
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to the management team
• Provide accounting support to the GP Services Team and the Management Company

Qualifications:

• 7-10+ years of experience in accounting
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous investment management industry (preferred)
• Strong understanding of NetSuite (REQUIRED)
