Eaton’s ESSG CPSD PDD Power Delivery Division is currently seeking a Training Manager.
This is position is located at our plant in Nacogdoches, TX. Relocation will be offered to those candidates currently residing in the U.S.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $88499.97 - $129799.96 a year.

What you’ll do:
The Training Manager will focus on the successful onboarding, development, and preparation of employees to effectively become a member of the Nacogdoches Team. The Training Manager will develop sustainable programs and processes that enhance employees’ skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work. The Training Manager will utilize a continuous improvement mindset to incorporate new processes and technologies into the program to drive improvement to the plant’s employee engagement, as well as Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics.
In this function you will:
- Manage record keeping requirements for training per the Quality Management System. Maintain the operator, value stream, and plant level cross training matrices.
- Create process for trainer selection and skill development for trainers to improve communication skills and effectiveness.
- Evaluate and provide continued recommendations and proposals to the plant senior leadership team on what internal and external resources are needed to have a successful program.
- Create and foster relationships with external high schools, technical schools, community, government, and nonprofit agencies and universities.
- Create metrics to measure success of the program.
- Participate in training projects
- Seek out leading technology trends to improve training processes. Stay connected and apprised of external marketplace trends. Conducts internal and external benchmarking for best practices.
- Work closely with the Quality and HR teams to identify new training opportunities and areas for improvement in the training process. Solicit employee feedback and utilize multiple listening mechanisms with all levels in the organization to drive employee engagement and improvements to the processes.
- Create a strategic roadmap for production employee training and development
- Create and maintain training calendars, schedules, and proactively engage the organization in developing consistent skill and talent development programs
- Administer & facilitate instructor-led courses for employees.
- Collaborate with value stream managers to ensure adoption & consistent implementation of on-boarding & training programs.
- Create processes and training programs for the professional population including onboarding and continuing education processes.
- Develop and improve current onboarding and cross training processes for new hires, contractors, and internal transfers.
- Compile data and reports to track program costs and actively seek cost saving and productivity improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or within the future
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of single phase transformer/Eaton products, customers, sales processes, systems, and ability to train in them
- Experience or knowledge of Electrical Utilities or electrical component manufacturing
- Three (3) years of work in a Training Development/Coordination role in manufacturing plant
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods
- Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
- Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, or engineering
