Training Manager – Houston, TX - $80,000 to $95,000 per year

Job Brief

The Systems Trainer is responsible for training, developing, implementing, and evaluating employee development plans and programs to support the organizational needs of the firm. This position is also responsible for providing advanced end-user troubleshooting of Word, Adobe, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of course content throughout a course life cycle in coordination with the firm's outsourced training firm.
• Assist with software installations/troubleshooting
• Manage and maintain the firm’s LegalMind learning management system
• Determine the overall effectiveness of programs through testing and surveys and make necessary improvements
• Consistently enhance instructional delivery and presentation skills
• Design and develop Quick Reference Cards with detailed step-by-step instructions and graphic images on the various applications used in the firm; create a "Tip of the Week" distributed electronically to all users
• Execute training sessions, webinars, in-person sessions in groups or individually
• Maintain the history and report data on completed courses
• Observe and evaluate results of training programs
• Assist with End User Support (Helpdesk) to all users in all offices on software applications used in the firm.
• Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets, videos, etc.) and training rooms if applicable
• Development of training programs according to system and organizational needs.
• Coordinate and conduct “New Hire Training” for all users joining the firm; including work with the firm's recruiting coordinator and HR department to organize the Summer and Fall Associate training program schedules each year

Requirements

• A thorough understanding of Word styles, Table of Authorities, Citations, and Table of Contents
• Other applications as necessary
• At least 5 years of law firm help desk/training experience
• Adobe DC
• Proven experience designing and delivering professional training documentation
• Experience in training new hires
• IManage
• Experience training groups of users on firm applications
• MS Office Suite to include some experience with MS Access
• Payne/Litera/Bighand Product Suite
