The Opportunity

Explore America is looking for candidates who will partner with educators to inspire and coach them through establishing a travel program within their school and community. In this role, you will play an integral part in helping educators manage the deadlines and details that go into planning their trip. Your goal will be to provide support and to help these customers be successful and ultimately, become repeat business.


The Role


EF Explore America is seeking out an Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of Group Leaders/Trips/Programs in a designated area of the United States. This person will manage roughly 70-80 accounts and is tasked to build a strong relationship with the teachers in your region. You will work closely with a Tour Consultant to help build, retain and grow a regional territory.


Your main responsibility is to support your customers every step of the way leading up to their departure, answering all questions, preparing them for their travel experience and ensuring they feel supported by our team. In addition to this you are responsible for retaining the business and repeating the customer every year.


Additionally, you will be responsible for working with educators while on tour through when they return to ensure a high-quality experience. Ultimately, you will help to create an unforgettable travel experience for educators and for as many students as possible across the United States. You will play a pivotal role in encouraging and supporting educators in the goal of building and continuing an annual tradition of travel in their communities.


Requirements


  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Critical communication skills – with Account Executive team and Group Leaders
  • Sales Skills – must be able to repeat the customer and overcome objections
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and the position will not provide future visa sponsorship
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Team Player – you love to celebrate a good win but also share the spotlight with your colleagues
  • Organized – you know how to prioritize and manage your time effectively to maximize efficiency
  • Customer Service skills – ability to navigate difficult conversations
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Must have impeccable attention to detail
  • Prior sales and/or customer service experience preferred
