Job Description

Our client is seeking an Inside Sales Account Manager to support their growing customer base. The Account Manager is responsible for managing the relationship with a set of installed customers. Primary objectives are to sell additional products, and ensure customer retention.


Responsibilities

  • Selling additional units to existing customers.
  • Contacting customers who are near capacity on their existing system and selling additional appliances to accommodate the customer’s data growth.
  • Identify and work with any “at risk” customers (possibly in conjunction with a field rep and SE) to retain the customer, and secure maintenance renewal and additional business.
  • Grow client's footprint in the customer and executing a successful sales campaign to sell additional products.
  • Customer retention.
  • Required to keep accurate records in Salesforce and provide manager with a monthly forecast of add on business.


Qualifications

  • Excellent computer skills (MS-Office). Knowledge of Salesforce.com desirable, but not necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills via the phone and email/internet
  • Experience closing business over the phone, coordinating with other functions as appropriate
  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in business-related field
  • Growth mindset with a desire to learn and grow professionally
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills
  • An outstanding work ethic, desire to succeed, and a true results-oriented approach
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, confident and tenacious
  • 2-5 years of experience selling technology product in the IT industry


**This is an in-office role (5 days/week) located in the Greater Boston area.
