Dragonfly Pond Works is an environmental service company specializing in stormwater management. Since 2006, Dragonfly has provided routine maintenance and repairs on stormwater devices, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and underground facilities. The Company services throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, from Maryland to Florida and currently has approximately 100 employees.


The role of the Regional Manager is critical to the success of Dragonfly Pond Works. The core purpose of this position is to ensure that the company's clients are serviced in accordance with the highest standard of quality while maximizing the efficiency and productivity of assigned crew members operating in the field.


The scope of this role is broad, including activities associated with quality control, training, estimating, equipment and fleet management, project management, report review, field work, etc. This position also will evolve over time based on company growth and as new business opportunities arise.


Role And Responsibilities


Based in Florida and reporting to the Division Manager, this role functions as an integral component to the smooth and profitable execution of work performed by Dragonfly Pond Works. The responsibilities encompass the following:


  • Locating and ordering project specific materials and specialty items
  • Work authorization
  • Safe operation of all equipment such as driving with truck and trailer, securing equipment, excavator, and skid steer operation, etc.
  • Identify any discrepancies that will require immediate attention to resolve, relay pertinent information to appropriate Client Service Manager
  • Acquire and maintain current certifications as required for project specific tasks and to expand knowledge base of safety requirements.
  • Review, edit and submit Project Completion Reports to appropriate Client Service Manager
  • Scheduling of equipment rentals and subcontractors
  • Preconstruction site walks and on-site supervision
  • Equipment and Vehicle Management
  • Identification of beneficial and invasive plant species
  • Assisting assigned field crews by providing guidance and conducting on-site field work as needed
  • Perform monthly Quality Assessments for all assigned field employees.
  • Technical skills and project approach
  • Assist the HR Manager and Director of Operations in interviewing job applicants, and with onboarding process of new employees.
  • Various administrative duties relating to field staff management.
  • Report writing for effective communication through Project Completion Reports
  • Field based training of new and existing employees including:
  • Identify safety training and licensing needs for field staff.
  • Tracking materials usage and labor hours on large projects
  • Valid driver's license
  • Estimating support, as time allows
