Job Description
Overview:
As a Training and Development Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, and construction of training programs including any planning and/or implementation. Using instructional methods and materials to facilitate the process of training and development and ensure that training programs are necessary, valid, and effective.

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Identifying needs by evaluating strengths and/or weaknesses.
  • Translating requirements into trainings, building training programs and preparing teaching plans.
  • Delivering training programs and evaluating to reflect any changes.
  • Developing the production of handouts and instructional materials.
  • Assisting in New Hire orientation.
  • Directing learning experiences and monitoring results.
  • The collection of data on the tasks or skills to be learned or improved, the analysis of these skills and tasks, the development of methods and materials, delivery of the program, and finally the evaluation of the training's effectiveness.
  • Other responsibilites and duties as assigned.
MUST HAVES
  • Ability to present complex information to a diverse group.
  • Prepare cost benefit analysis and calculate training ROI.
  • Knowledge of talent management and succession planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, Education, or similar Human Resource Degree with a minimum of 1 (one) year experience in Human Resource area or equivalent education/experience.

  • Familiar with best practice methodology, tools, and techniques.
