Montgomery County Department of Recreation , a nationally recognized and award-winning agency, is looking for energetic, highly motivated, entry-level staff to work with the TeenWorks Program!
As a TeenWorks Program Staffer , you will:
- Learn something new EVERY DAY!
- Assist with summer camps and/or school-based programs at County elementary, middle and/or high schools and recreation centers, including support to day-to-day operations, recruiting participants, contributing to recreation and enrichment program planning, administrative tasks, and organizing events.
- Support special events like July 4 th , Holiday Events, Job Fairs, Community Days. You’ll help with planning, set up/clean up, monitoring and maintaining equipment, distributing promotional materials, distributing and collecting surveys
- Help older adults learn and use digital tools, increase their skills and stay connected and thrive in the digital age
To be a successful TeenWorks Program Staffer , you should:
- Be able to meet physical demands, participate in outdoor activities, strenuous events
- Be at least 14 years of age (at least 16 years of age for Camp jobs)
- Be reliable and have good communication skills
- Have a valid driver’s license (for job-related duties)
- Demonstrate a positive, “can-do” attitude
