Job Title: Program Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Sports and Recreation

Position Overview: The Program Coordinator is responsible for administering and coordinating various Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) sports programs and initiatives. This role involves managing program timelines, budgets, and resources, as well as liaising with internal teams, external stakeholders, and program participants. The Program Coordinator ensures the successful planning, execution, and evaluation of adaptive sports programs, while maintaining effective communication and documentation throughout the process.


Position responsibilities and duties:

  • Use established evaluation frameworks and methods to track program data.
  • Manage program budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date program documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define program objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among program participants, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Identify and coordinate with vendors to procure necessary materials and services to successfully deliver adaptive sports programs.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Support the development of program plans, including goals, strategies, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align program goals with organizational strategies.
  • Collect and synthesize program data; prepare reports for the Program Director.
  • Provide support to program teams, resolving issues and addressing challenges as they arise.
  • Monitor program performance against established KPIs and objectives.
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure program objectives are met.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and monitor program activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for program participants, responding to inquiries and providing support.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with program partners, stakeholders, and community organizations.
  • Collect and synthesize program data to produce reports and inform program management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sports and Recreation, Project Management, Social Sciences).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose creative solutions.
  • Must be able to travel frequently to support various adaptive sports programs; minimum 25% travel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of adaptive sports and recreation concepts, program delivery, and evaluation methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
