RSM’s rapidly growing Family Office Enterprise team is looking to hire a dynamic experienced professional. Our Family Office Enterprise team focuses on single, multi and virtual family offices as well as families that are approaching a liquidity event who may benefit from family office structuring. This cross line of business team collaborates to assist our clients during all stages of the family office life cycle including creation, sustainability and restructuring. Our enterprise team of professionals take a holistic approach through consulting regarding governance, family education and communication, philanthropy, risk management, privacy / data security and technology outsourcing.

As an experienced professional, you will be responsible for the following job duties which are focused on your technical expertise and ability to work on a collaborative team to deliver excellent client service:
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients, centers of influence and other RSM promoters through networking, thought leadership and community involvement
  • Delivers exceptional talent experience by building collaborative teams, developing and rewarding team members
  • Anticipate client needs and collaborate with RSM colleagues in specialty tax areas as well as cross line of business to build client relationships and support growth
  • Demonstrates alignment with RSM’s core values, vision and strategy while empowering people to work together in meaningful and productive ways across the firm as an enterprise leader
  • Lead the engagement team focused on entity, individual, fiduciary and gift / estate taxation. This includes the planning and execution of client tax engagements that exceed client expectations and RSM profitability thresholds
  • Participate in local and national committees focused on building technical expertise and strategic plans
  • Participate in prospective client proposals and intentionally plan to build new client relationships
  • Advise family office and multi-generational families on a full spectrum of tax services including structuring and modeling, succession planning, wealth transfer planning and tax compliance
Basic Qualifications:
  • Proficient in at least one area: entity or individual and fiduciary taxation with an understanding of complex investments and the related tax implications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working in public accounting with an emphasis on private client taxation including working with family offices and multi-generational families. Most recent years should include experience in leading all aspects of client engagements and driving growth
  • CPA license in one’s principal place of business/home state, licensed J.D. or enrolled agent (with approval from regional tax leader)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to lead collaborative teams and manage a book of business that exceeds client expectations
  • Familiar with multi-state taxation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • LL.M. in Taxation and/or Master’s in Taxation
  • Experience with gift and estate taxation

Compensation Range: $137,300 - $299,000
