Bumble is looking for an experienced, energetic and analytical tax professional to join Bumble as a Manager of Income Tax. This role will support the Federal and State tax provision, compliance and planning processes. It is expected that you will coordinate and collaborate across functions to enhance and improve financial systems and external reporting associated with income tax matters.
This role will be US based, preferably located in Texas.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Manage the tax compliance effort of the company’s federal and state income tax returns, including partnership tax reporting.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP tax provisions, tax reserves (FIN 48 & FAS 5) and related disclosures. Support the global tax department in Federal and State tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, technical research, process improvement, and SOX compliance and documentation
  • Stay abreast of tax law changes to manage risk and identify potential planning opportunities.
  • Support the development of tax strategy to support the company’s growth and business initiatives
  • Support income tax audits and responding to State tax notices and other similar correspondence as needed
  • Assists as needed to perform other related duties and special projects as required
  • Collaborate across corporate Finance, Legal, Treasury, Human Resources and other organizations with respect to tax strategies and projects impacting these functions.
  • Perform research related to tax issues as they arise; document tax implications accordingly
  • Manage the compliance requirements and reporting obligations associated with our UP-C structure
EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 5+ years of combined large scale public accounting and industry experience
  • Knowledge and experience with partnership tax matters (i.e., Sub K)
  • Technical expertise with demonstrated experience resolving complex tax issues
  • Ability to quickly understand and integrate business objectives with tax strategies, and effectively communicate tax requirements to executive leadership
  • Experience working with a mix of in-house and outsourced resources
  • CPA license with a Masters in Tax or MBA strongly preferred
  • Experience successfully running multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Base Compensation Range: $97,200.00 - $135,00.00. For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. This position is also typically eligible to participate in our short- and long-term incentive programs. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, Unlimited Paid Time Off Policy.
