CANDIDATE MUST HAVE SOLAR OR RENEWABLE ENERGY INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Sr. VP of Operations will manage, direct, and implement operational strategies and objectives to ensure the delivery and profitability of the residential solar installation department’s production goals. They will be responsible for the management and development of multiple domestic residential solar installation fulfillment centers, and must be able to coordinate, communicate, and motivate service teams across various regions.
- Drive the achieving of the division's yearly financial objectives for all service locations reporting to the incumbent through planning, directing, controlling, implementing, evaluating, monitoring, and forecasting as needed to achieve budgets and cost of sales.
- Administer and manage the company’s safety and quality to provide an adequate and safe working environment.
- Contribute to the overall long-range planning process.
- Development and management of suppliers/vendors/sub-contractors in the pursuit of maintaining budget/waste/turnover,
- Provide daily updates and correspondence to executive leadership, sales and design teams, as well as individual installation crews as necessary to ensure project sustainability and success.
- Interface with design teams, and coordinate with permitting, survey, and inspection teams (internally, as well as within the local region), as well as intra-departmental teams (sales, customer service, human resources, finance, etc.)
- Manage the operations function concurrent with:
- Develop additional territories and service locations as necessary. Additional installation fulfillment locations will be developed according to sales forecasting, executive direction, and service need.
- Conduct and/or attend daily/weekly/monthly company meetings and conference calls to ensure the stability and scheduling of all residential solar projects.
- Conceive, research, plan, target, and control reductions in cost and product lead times on existing and new projects.
- Business growth,
- Ability to install over 1000 solar projects a month to meet and exceed company targets
- Manage and assist in coordinating efforts between support departments within the organization.
- Create a productive department through increased written and verbal communication, streamlined project management practices, and project review standards.
- Establish and assess the department's annual operating budget and service delivery forecasting as agreed to by the company CEO.
- Participate in the implementation of process improvement policies and protocols to decrease costs and promote on-time delivery.
- Meeting departmental financial objectives,
- Responsible for reduction in project deficiencies, employee development, state and federal compliance, OSHA guidelines/regulations, and corporate best standards.
- Assess and assist in upgrading the management talent base within operations to achieve growth and meet market needs (i.e. reduced cost, shorter manufacturing/product introduction cycle times and on-time project delivery).
- Maintain service fulfillment, vendor management, and operational budget.
- Contribute to the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals as set forth in the budget.
- Perform OPS Reviews, covering current and future forecasts and delinquencies/deficiencies.
- Maintenance of SLA standards; maximizing productivity while mitigating loss/deficiencies,
- Introduction of new operational systems/protocols/standards,
- Meeting divisional goals in relation to safety, quality, and on-time delivery of products.

- Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.
- Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Extensive and diversified background with at least 5 years of related experience.
