Job Description

This role has responsibility for planning and executing sales activities to designated prospects while exceeding sales quota, profitability and revenue targets.

  • Maintains ongoing market knowledge and shares this information with the team to attain market leadership status and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the organization.
  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations and Request for Proposal responses.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to customers through a comprehensive understanding of the business.
  • Provides guidance, support, and strategic leadership among the service teams assigned to their book of business.
  • Responsible for the full life cycle of sales activity related to new business acquisition. This includes prospecting, forecasting, contracting, pricing, and negotiation.
  • In partnership with operations, ensures the successful implementation of new accounts. May assist with contract renewals of existing business.
  • Regularly prepares sales forecasting and performance reports. Actively participates in pipeline reviews with direct manager and other key partners. Identifies internal and external trends that impact sales performance.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 75,500
Maximum: 155,200

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications

  • Manages complex negotiations.
  • Ideal candidate will have prior experience in a new business creation role, demonstrated examples of owning/managing complex customer relationships and launching of new products.
  • Ability to travel a multi-state territory up to 50% of the time including overnight travel as needed. Commercial air travel is required along with local travel, travel on short notice and other travel deemed necessary by the Company.
  • Ability to manage for profitable growth, anticipate and respond to marketplace trends; develop strategies that drive the business; integrate financial, marketing and strategic concepts; and renew profitable business.
  • Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated full life-cycle sales experience within a complex services organization.
  • Possess a valid and current driver’s license.
  • Cultivates strong, productive and influential relationships with brokers/consultants, customers, and peers focusing on the larger or more complex accounts/prospects.
  • Implements strategies necessary to attain sales objectives in assigned areas.

Preferred Qualifications
8+ years industry experience in group employee benefits or Medicare.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytic skills and solid business insight.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Working knowledge of Windows/Microsoft Office apps, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
