Project Manager – 100% remote

Type: contract-to-hire (must be able to convert to a permanent employee)

Rate/Salary: Rate is up to $72/hr W2 and conversion salary is up to $125K-$135K

Project Scope:

• They use Smartsheet as their project management tool so it would be a plus.
• Our client is a global insurance company and this project involves enhancing one of their Auto claims applications to make their client onboarding process more efficient.
• Fast-paced environment with shifting priorities so need someone who can easily pivot from day to day. Process-driven PMs will not do well in this type of environment.
• It is a home-grown web app so experience managing development projects is desired.
• They are standing up 3 project teams with one Sr. PM, one Business Systems Analyst, 2/3 Devs and 2/3 QA.
• They tend to use more Waterfall than Agile, must be able to find success and navigate that!
• This role will interact with Sr C-level leadership, so interpersonal and engaging personality will be key.
• Understanding Claims insurance-related procedures and/or managed care systems and operations would be a plus.

Requirements:

• Understanding Claims (auto/casualty would be ideal)
• Executive presence
• Experience working with Offshore teams
• Waterfall/Agile- blend more Waterfall
• Smartsheet exp a plus
• Prepare and manage project plan through completion.
• At least 8 years of experience in IT Project Management
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexible with shifting priorities.
• Communicating with Sr Leadership
• Good understanding of managing full SDLC
• Auto Claims exp a plus
• Experience managing large enterprise projects (2-3 large projects concurrently)

Responsibilities:

• Provide data analysis, including identifying and recognizing trends across multiple offices for national client operations.
• Communicate activity progress to involved parties.
• Help to transition programs as needed.
• Identify required resources.
• Prepare and manage project plans through completion.
• Identify, analyze, and report trends.
• Provide interpretation of report information and make recommendations for improvement.
• Research project data, procedures and history for a thorough understanding of project direction.
• Monitor and assesses data for accuracy and integrity.
• Provide training to colleagues as needed.
• Assist Program Managers to resolve issues that arise.
• Deliver oral and written presentations of project results.
• Manage, support and service project assignments through completion.
• Administer procedures and processes that measure and manage customer satisfaction.
