The Sr. Director of Project Management will lead the PV, Energy Storage project management teams, and commissioning management team and play a key role to ensure Sungrow’s successful execution of all its projects. The entire project management team will be involved in the day-to-day project management activities, making sure Sungrow’s product deliveries and commissioning services occur in-time, and most importantly, successful lead the projects from the contract negotiation to the final completion. This role will require regular communication with customers and organize internal resources across multiple departments in order to provide technical and operational guidance to Sungrows project management team and customers. The candidate needs to adapt tools and use a very systematic approach to continuously improve the effectiveness of the project management workflow and provide suggestion to achieve product and operation excellency. The Sr. Director of Project Management shall also work closely with Sungrow HQ’s product and manufacturing group to ensure proper and adequate support from HQ. The candidate will also work very closely with HQ PMO team leader to ensure that ‘full-lifecycle’ project management is fully implemented in order to minimize project execution risk and promote operation excellency. This position will have the authority to pull supporting resources from other Sungrow departments as necessary and will assess the performance of the resources that are gathered. The overall performance of this position will be evaluated by each respective business leader from the perspective of completeness, effectiveness and successfulness of each project. The Sr. Director of Project Management will report to the Sungrow Americas president and dotted line report to two business unit leaders. Up to 50% travel might be required for this position.

Qualification:

1)Minimum total Twelve (12) years’ experience in renewable industry.

2)Minimum Ten (10) years in project management role from any of thefollowing industries, such as global OEM, PV, energy storage, batterymanufacturer or system integrator.

3)Minimum Six (6) years’ direct management experiences, able to leadthe team and drive for excellency.

4)Deep knowledge in PV and battery system installation, construction,labor estimation and different site layout etc.

5)Strong project management skills.

6)Strong ability to interpret complex contract language.

7)Proven negotiation skills with project stakeholders.

8)Past experiences in supply chain and mass production is a strong plus.

9)Strong leadership and management skills.

10)Thorough understanding of local jurisdiction requirement, NFPA,NEC/UL code, Electrical Safety Regulation, IBC etc.

11)Good technical writing skills and be able to draft working instructions orworking guidelines proficiently.

12)Excellent communication and customer interfacing skills.

13)Previous direct power conversion or battery system experience is a plus.

14)Self-motivated, team player and quick learner.

15)Bachelor degree as minimal, Master in engineering is a plus.
