The Role
The Sr. Manager Sales Operations acts as the Sales Operations leader supporting the end-of-month Sales Recognition process. The candidate employs a wide variety of skills and functions, including arbitrating and resolving escalated disputes on behalf of the sales region, applying existing precedence and rules w possible and making decisions with future behaviors in mind; reporting on sales performance, trends booking adjustments, process questions and disputes. It is expected that this position will be the subject matter expert in Lumen’s Sales Recognition guidelines, working closely with Finance to develop and communicate policy.
The Main Responsibilities
- Implement process improvements and provide feedback to the around best practices.
- Manage sales recognition processes issues for the Enterprise sales organization.
- Produce supporting documentation and present new policy to the entire Enterprise sales organization.
- Develop programs and processes with sales leadership and Finance to help drive sales results and behaviors within the Enterprise sales organization.
- Sales reporting, sales forecasting, financial modeling, customer segmentation, and channel conflict resolution
- This position has direct reports who manage the end-of-month sales recognition process for each region.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Demonstrated analytical, communication (oral and written), conflict resolution, multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skill set.
- Computer literacy skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and 5+ years related experience or 3+ years related experience with a Master’s degree.
- Project management skills Experience in Sales Operations, Reporting, Compensation, or related field
- Highly developed facilitation and team building skills.
- Expert knowledge of Sales Operations specialty and strong business acumen
