The Role + Purpose:

• Knowledge of prop resources, prop stylist bookings and budget management
• Demonstrate transparent communication around budget management and spending, including close collaboration and spending strategy with the SVP of brand creative
• Establish consistent guardrails and guidelines around shoot spending
• Source new vendors for increased efficiency and reduced cost
• Serve as a brand ambassador and representative for Madewell values when working with vendors and freelance talent
• Develop and manage shoot budgets in accordance with the season and yearly budgets
• Convey “brand direction” and act as a brand representative to freelance scouts or researchers
• Manage, mentor, and develop in-house staff and freelance production staff
• Manage extensive file system of resources
• Organize and implement all facets of production for photography shoots
• Delegate tasks to ensure smooth productions
• Negotiate and book production details for photo shoots (i.e. locations, travel, photo equipment, accommodations, and catering, freelance staff)
• Communicate with editors regarding creative story direction to ensure cohesive execution of creative concepts
• Set tone of positive, transparent, inclusive, and collaborative team effort for all shoots
• Ability to solve all problems quickly before, during or after a shoot
• Prioritize shoot details on an aggressive schedule

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of internet, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Meticulous accounting/budget management skills
• Attention to detail
• Management experience
• Collaborative nature, and understanding of industry trends regarding photography and casting
• 5 years experience as producer
• Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $151,000.00

The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
