In the DreamWorks Internship Program, interns work in an engaging and exciting environment alongside creative leaders and artists who are committed to building an inclusive and collaborative culture. Interns are immersed into TV and Feature animated productions while gaining hands-on experience at our studio. DreamWorks Animation seeks an Intern for their Employee Engagement, Events, and Internal Communications department (TeamWorks). This intern will produce social media content, design invitations, flyers, help with the weekly events calendar, amongst other communications. This intern will g ain exposure to other departments at the studio, including Production, Design, Publicity, Marketing, Social Media, Human Resources and Executive Offices.

Fall 2023 Employee Engagement, Events, & Communications Internship:

• Time Commitment: Full Time (40 hours per week)
• Applications close: July 7, 2023 at 11:59pm PT
• Program Dates: September 25, 2023 - December 1, 2023
• Format: Hybrid

Responsibilities: “What would you say you do here?”

• Intern will gain a broad knowledge of remote and live event planning including employee morale and mixer events, premieres and wraps, friends and family events, holiday events, and more.
• Intern will draft professional emails, reports and corporate communication materials that clearly and effectively communicate information to an internal audience.
• Intern will also support the studio's volunteer and community outreach programs (non-profit, educational, and hospital partnerships, to name a few).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: “What do I need to have in order to do this job?”

• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be willing to work in Glendale, California
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• A great teammate with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or be a recent graduate (within six months of graduation date)
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols
• Demonstrable design skills (proficiency in Photoshop and/or Illustrator is required)
• Confidently takes initiative to solve problems, manages time efficiently, and pays close attention to detail
• Candidates should be well organized, highly self-motivated individuals who function well in fast-paced, multi-tasking environments

Desired Qualifications: “What can I offer?”

• Strong creative brainstorming and problem solving skills
• Proactive problem solver with excellent time management, organization, judgment and prioritization skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Previous event planning experience and club involvement
• Proficiency in Google Suite and calendaring system, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Detail oriented and ability to multitask
• Demonstrable experience as well as a keen interest in planning events to build and maintain professional and social clubs and/or company culture
• Has some experience writing, editing, and crafting content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter (knowledge of SproutSocial a plus but not required)

Hourly Rate: $17.00
