JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Director, Product Management supports our business goals by partnering with our teams (engineers and developers) to develop repeatable and production-level products in support of our internal teams and external opportunities. This role will lead the Product Development Methodology for Enterprise Data & Intelligence across business and technical leaders to define the data products, enterprise strategy, development plan, product roadmap, lifecycle and portfolio execution.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the business strategy and customer expectations; assist with resourcing to coordinate work activities and task completion.
- Bring global teams together for one goal.
- Manage Product owners and analyst teams. Responsibilities include line management, performance management, and professional development for those employees along with interviewing and onboarding new team members.
- Assess business and technical tradeoffs between solution options.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Mentor and coach junior members across the business.
- Lead the product team and matrixed members in the creation of the overall product vision, strategy, development plan, roadmap execution and lifecycle.
- Lead team to translate and prioritize business needs into technical and analytical requirements that feed into product development and overall design.
- Build and develop relationships with internal and external partners.
- Identify opportunities for new products and expand existing product capabilities.
- Manage the prioritization of product features, modifications, attributes, and the communication of these priorities to the development team.
- Set up tools and processes to facilitate communication and collaboration between team members.
- Define, monitor, manage and communicate platform KPIs
- Prioritize and deliver the work needed for multiple internal and external customer facing products
- Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Outstanding leadership, communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Degree (BS/BA) in in Information Systems or Management, Statistics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering, or relevant industry experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- Understanding of data and analytic model development, as well as an understanding of database concepts and architecture
- Experience leading a high performing team and working across multiple stakeholders to deliver results while educating and growing team members. Global experience is preferred.
- Understanding of business value related to features and functions
- In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management, roadmap, issue, and backlog management systems like Azure DevOps.
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders
- Understanding of business intelligence strategy and/or data science and engineering workflows.
