Sr. Accountant – Manufacturing

We are currently seeking candidates for a Sr. Accountant opportunity with a highly successful manufacturing organization located in Danvers, MA. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting as well as preparing financial statements and performing general ledger reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.

This is a 6+ month contract to hire opportunity, paying $45-$50/hour (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work-week.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bank statement reconciliations
• Aim to optimize efficiency by streamlining systems and processes
• Prepare for yearly audits
• Collaborate with the Controller on special projects
• Oversee general ledger, accruals, and fixed assets
• Assist in the accounting cycle, supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting
• Responsible for preparing financial statements and producing KPI reporting

Qualifications:

• Inventory and WIP experience a plus
• Strong technical skills
• Experience working in manufacturing
• BS in Accounting or Finance
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and dependable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time management, prioritization, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
• 5+ years of hands-on G/L accounting experience
