About The Opportunity


  • You will be reporting to the Controller of Portfolio Accounting
  • We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Portfolio Accountant to one of the top and fast-growing organizations based in Newton, MA

Senior Portfolio Accountant Responsibilities


  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare/review journal entries and general ledger account analysis.
  • Assist in the internal audit process, including updating internal control policies and testing
  • Handle all financial aspects of several portfolios of senior living communities
  • Prepare, generate and review financial reports and supporting work papers monthly, quarterly, and annually on a GAAP basis. Analyze results.


Senior Portfolio Accountant Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with 3.0 minimum GPA
  • Proficiency with Property Management/Accounting software, Yardi preferred
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
