We primarily work with small businesses across many industries and some non-profit organizations, and related individuals. We offer bookkeeping, tax compliance, preparation of compilations and reviews, cash flow planning, as well as general business consulting services.
• A leading CPA firm on the South Shore of Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Tax Staff Member to join its client-focused team environment! We’re looking for a tax professional for heavy senior or manager-level tax work. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned tax professional capable of dealing with complex tax matters, directing others, and reviewing their work. This position includes a potential path to partner and allows for in-office and remote work and flexible scheduling.

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

• Review of tax returns.
• Individual and business tax return preparation.
• Preparation and/or review of business accounting & tax workpapers.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Familiarity with Ultra Tax and Thompson Reuters software preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Assist with monthly and year-end close.
• Advanced skills using QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
• Accounting degree is preferred, although significant work experience in lieu will be considered.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Financial statement and audit experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of GASB.
• Commitment to the team environment and results.
• Strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
• At least three tax seasons in a CPA practice preparing both entity and individual tax returns.
• Familiarity with Sage software preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience as a Tax Professional.
