Molecular Search are currently partnered with a leading Biologics Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) dedicated to providing high-quality services and solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry. Operating out of state-of-the-art facilities our client are committed to delivering innovative therapies that improve patients' lives and drive scientific advancements.
Our client are seeking a Senior Director of Manufacturing to oversee the entire manufacturing operation, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality biologic products for their clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, a track record of effective team leadership, and a commitment to achieving manufacturing goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all aspects of biologics manufacturing operations, including upstream and downstream processing, formulation, fill-finish, and packaging.
- Drive operational efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and enhance productivity to meet production schedules and client expectations.
Client Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique requirements and tailor manufacturing strategies accordingly.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, alignment of project goals, and customer satisfaction throughout the manufacturing process.
Quality and Compliance:
- Uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance in all manufacturing activities, ensuring adherence to cGMP regulations and company SOPs.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of robust quality systems and ensure successful regulatory inspections.
Process Improvement and Innovation:
- Foster a culture of innovation and creative problem-solving within the manufacturing team.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, technology adoption, and continuous improvement to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
Team Development and Management:
- Drive employee engagement and professional development initiatives to cultivate a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for manufacturing operations that align with company objectives and industry trends.
- Contribute to long-term business growth through operational strategies, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
- In-depth knowledge of upstream and downstream bioprocessing techniques, technology platforms, and equipment.
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in biologics manufacturing within a CDMO or pharmaceutical company.
- A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field. MBA a plus.
- Strong understanding of cGMP regulations, quality systems, and regulatory requirements for biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Proven track record in successfully managing complex manufacturing operations, including client engagement and project management.
