About the Role:
Reporting to the Manager of Revenue Accounting, you will be responsible for accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 for Pango. Your primary responsibility will be owning the billing and revenue accounting processes for various lines of business within Pango. Additionally, you will own the cash applications process for certain bank accounts, work with key stakeholders both in and outside of finance to review new revenue contracts, perform month-end account reconciliations to support our financial close process, and assist the team with other projects, as needed.
The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, sweats the details of their work, and has a passion for building and improving processes. Experience with accounting for inventory is a plus. Lastly, strong Excel and analytical skills are required to ensure our financial statements are complete and accurate given the large volume of data that we process.
Day to Day:

• Working alongside the Revenue Manager to automate manual processes, driving efficiencies and improvement in timely reporting
• Assist with the annual audit and preparation of audit related schedules and support
• Preparation of order to cash related account reconciliations including accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and indirect tax liabilities
• Maintain and perform monthly and quarterly SOX related controls
• Own billing and account management processes for certain key customers and partners
• Assist with detailed revenue analysis by channel, vertical and by customer to ensure accuracy of revenue reporting
• Immediate month-end close responsibilities include closing A/R modules, applying cash to outstanding accounts receivables, preparing revenue estimates and adjustments, and overall accounts receivable review to ensure timely collection of invoices
• Ensure revenue recognition for Pango is in compliance with ASC 606

What you bring to the table:

• Sophisticated Microsoft Excel skills required (pivot table, VLOOKUP, etc)
• 3-5 years of working experience with a passion for revenue and its importance to the financial statements.
• Requires attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Relevant systems experience preferred: Oracle Fusion, Zuora and Salesforce
• Passionate about process, continuous improvement, and leveraging technology to achieve these goals
• Ability to review and interpret contracts
• Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or Accounting
