Currently, we are seeking to hire a Senior Corporate Accountant. As a Senior Corporate Accountant, your mission will be to assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of processes, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and US GAAP. You will have the opportunity to take ownership, drive processes and support our business needs.


Consistent ability to work both offsite and report into Corporate Headquarters or designated touchpoint, as required and in accordance with Lovesac policies, CDC and State Guidelines.


Summary Of Key Job Responsibilities


  • Communicating accounting issues and determinations to senior level managers
  • Develop workpaper templates with sufficient documentation, including completeness and accuracy procedures performed on IPE procedures
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Responding to inquiries from the CFO, Controller, and other company wide managers regarding financial results and finance related initiatives
  • Working with the Accounting team and other key areas of the business to adopt best practices and support internal control documentation of these processes
  • Supporting the accounting teams commitment to timely and accurate recording of transactions in accordance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Performing month-end closing procedures including the preparation of monthly journal entries, monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, and monthly fluctuation analysis of general ledger accounts
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
  • Coordinating with external auditors in support of quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor questions and requests


Qualifications


Requirements & Qualifications:


  • In accordance with Lovesac policies, CDC and State Guidelines, must be able to travel, as required by the Company in its sole discretion, for occasional meetings and conferences using various forms of transportation.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting. CPA is a plus
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP;
  • Experience with Netsuite a plus
  • Be results driven and utilize knowledge to meet or exceed KPIs, goals and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, organized, with ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Must be capable of using and operating all equipment as required, including but not limited to: iPad, laptop, etc. Be able to move objects (including medium to large furniture items up to 75 pounds) from a lower to a higher position or horizontally from position-to-position or be able to assemble furniture while working on the selling floor or in our warehouse.

  • Must possess a strong work ethic and exemplify The Lovesac Values:
  • Experience with a publicly traded Company, industry experience is a plus
  • Understanding of SOX
  • Ability to think analytically with a strong attention to detail
  • Comply with the standards, policies and procedures outlined in the Lovesac Employee Handbook.
  • 3+ years at public accounting firm or 4+ years senior accounting experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple deadlines that adhere to strict deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to problem solve
  • Strong Excel skills
