Your Mission
Activision Blizzard, the publisher of the hit Call of Duty franchise, is looking for a passionate system security / information security engineer / analyst to join our Activision Blizzard King (ABK) Information Security team. If you are an avid gamer with a security and systems engineering background, come be a part of our team. The Security Analyst will support ABK Security Eng and other business partner teams to build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding information security systems, infrastructure, and tools within the business. This role reports into the Business Information Security Officer (BISO) - Blizzard and maintains strong relationships with all line-of-business technology groups. You will work closely with several key individuals and teams and will be part of a talented team of product and business unit security engineers and architects who demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security across our enterprise. Qualified candidates will have a background in IT, computer, security systems analysis and/or engineering.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Ability to effect change through a position of inspiration
- Serve as a liaison between the ABK Information Security team and business unit.
- Develop processes and procedures to maintain and execute the enterprise-wide security roadmap within the business unit.
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
- Develop technical solutions, new security tools/scripts to automate repeatable tasks
- Trusted advisor for the development of an enterprise-wide security strategy and roadmap.
- Provide cyber technical solutions and strategy aligned with the business and the future roadmap for new product capabilities.
- Act as an escalation point for the business regarding security issues and requests.
- Identify and define system security requirements
- Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement
- Participate in the design of information security and operational support systems.
- Work collaboratively with ABK Information Security Architecture and Engineering team.
- Provide technical guidance for designing security capabilities in a cloud and traditional on-prem environment.
- Manage requirements, provide technical solutions, coordinate with ABK Information Security, and ensure timelines are met and decisions are made swiftly.
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows and/or UNIX/Linux based environments
- Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
- Proven work experience as a system engineer or information security engineer/analyst
- Knowledge of industry best practices for foundational security elements including network devices and system-level hardening
- Hands-on experience with log collection, normalizing, and management; security infrastructure and policies; and risk mitigation
- Detailed technical knowledge of operating systems and database security
- Experience with network technologies, security, and monitoring tools
- Ability to problem solve independently and collaborate as a team to solve complex problems in support of the team’s mission

- Knowledge of Cloud Services like Google Cloud, AWS, Azure
- Knowledge of shell scripting, Python, Perl

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $101,000.00 - $186,754.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.-
