About The Role

The Senior Research Analyst is the primary driver of the research strategy and execution for talent identification throughout the search process. The Senior Research Analyst is responsible for conducting market analysis, developing research and candidate sourcing strategies, while securing strong, effective potential candidate pipelines for C-suite level functions. This role is the first impression of Bespoke and builds relationships with candidates from outreach and sourcing candidates, Boolean search and diverse profiling. They align the sourcing activities and work with Search managers to understand the recruitment needs. This role works closely with Bespoke Principals and Partners during search assignments to achieve and contribute to the overall success of the search.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supports business development efforts by conducting market research and compiling key information on target company and competitors
• Continual analysis and monitoring of industry, trade publications for trends in software, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, and growth equity investments to gather market insights and perspectives on talent pools
• Defines and executes research strategy (through collaboration with the rest of the search team) for search engagements
• Measures and monitors the effectiveness of the strategic sourcing framework against predefined outcomes
• Builds talent pools of specific candidate profiles that fit search functions and client requirements through the identification of appropriate target organizations and channels using existing internal and external resources
• Ensures research projects associated with search assignments are effective and completed, including ongoing monitoring of candidate progress, implementing communication plans, and harvesting relevant data; including the preparations of search update reports and drafting meeting notes
• Develops skills to serve as an industry or field subject matter in software, private equity and human capital
• And other tasks, projects, or duties as required of the position
• Performs queries of the Bespoke Partners (BP) database to discover candidate information such as compensation data, location data, and proprietary assessment data

Search Support /Accountabilities

• Ability to close 12+ searches annually
• Ability to define and lead the framework for client sourcing strategies proactively
• Provide thought partnership and expertise to senior-level search members
• Ability to successfully manage 7+ searches assignments simultaneously
• Proficient in research management for Tier 2-3 clients (Level 1 + 2 searches)

Search Functions

• Function and revenue touched between (<$200M)
• C-Suite and VP Level Position | Functions: Finance, Product, Engineering, HR, Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and General Manager
• Mainly working with Tier 1-3 clients (Level 1 + 2 Searches) based on:

Requirements

• Strong project management skills, ability to employ critical thinking and analysis, and proven success in creative problem solving
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Metrics-driven working style with a knack for compiling, interpreting, and articulating data
• Must be comfortable with using reference materials, databases, online services, and internet searching tools
• Results-oriented mindset with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced consulting environment
• Previous internship experience is preferred
• Able to present and communicate information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
• Boolean search logic experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with senior-level leaders

The wage range for this role takes into account the factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, training, certifications, and other business needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where this position may be filled. An estimate of the current base salary is $65,000 - $75,000.
