Senior Research Analyst Opportunity

Spitfire is a long-term value-oriented investor in smaller and mid-cap public companies with a 16-year track record of outperformance.Our investment approach combines elements of private equity, value and public market investing and is grounded in extensive primary research including significant company and industry due diligence. Our portfolio is typically concentrated across 15-20 businesses that offer an asymmetric risk/reward over a multi-year holding period.

We seek a motivated individual to join our investment team as a senior research analyst. Candidates should have a background in investment banking or management consulting and at least two years’ investing experience in public or private equity.Candidates should be able to demonstrate a passion for investing; excellent analytical skills; outstanding communication skills; a strong work ethic and a desire to learn continuously.

Responsibilities

·Conduct in-depth due diligence of companies and industries based on primary research including calls with relevant business and industry executives;

·Make investment recommendations on portfolio companies based on analysis of relevant news, events and third party research;

·Originate and recommend high quality investment ideas based on extensive independent research; and

·Financial modelling.
