Senior Research Associate, Dmpk

Position Summary:

Biomea Fusion is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Sr. Research Associate in the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department. The successful candidate will be focusing on developing bioanalytical methods, performing quantitative analysis of drug/metabolites and endogenous biomarkers in a range of biological matrices (e.g. blood, plasma, tissue/tumor etc) using LC-MS/MS, and conducting in-vitro ADME studies if needed, to support multiple drug discovery and development projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Conduct in vitro ADME studies such as metabolic stability assays in hepatocyte, microsomes and S9, plasma protein binding, and blood to plasma partitioning etc if needed
• Perform data analysis and reporting of experimental results to project teams
• Assist with routine lab operations to keep up with internal demands
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot LC-MS/MS instruments
• Perform bioanalysis in a timely manner and work with cross-functional teams (e.g. chemistry, biology and pharmacology) to support PK/PD studies
• Conduct LC-MS/MS method development to support drug/metabolites and biomarker analysis

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Working knowledge of Phoenix WinNonLin software for PK analysis is a plus
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Experience with in vitro ADME assays
• BS/MS degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or related scientific discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Detail-oriented, strong work ethic, self-motivated, and proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Hands-on experience in method development and quantitative analysis of small molecule using LC-MS/MS instruments is highly desirable

The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $90,000 to $110,000. An individual’s position within the range is based on multiple factors, including education, relevant experience, and length of industry experience will influence the actual salary offered. Base salary of one part of the overall total rewards program, which includes the opportunity to participate in stock programs, performance-based bonus programs and a competitive benefits package.
