Job Description

Position Summary


Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of specific projects supporting strategic initiatives for the online Entrepreneurship for Biomedicine (E4B) Training Program.


This position is 100% remote and is a grant-funded position subject to funding renewal in July 2023.



Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  • Prepares and presents reports defining status, progress, problems and solutions of project lifecycles. Prepares reports detailing evaluation and assessment of projects.
  • Prepares and maintains minutes and action item accountabilities from standing committee, ad hoc, and planning meeting activity related to projects supporting the Program's strategic plan, ensuring follow up on decisions made.
  • Plans and coordinates program implementation through the online Learning Management System (Canvas) and communications platform (Slack). Updates course content as needed.
  • Achieves department/division/program objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing accountability, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Defines project scope, charter, goals, deliverables, and timelines under the direction of the respective manager/director of the Program's management team.
  • Participates in project review meetings; prepares reports, and analyzes data to support project lifecycles and program evaluation. Supports/recommends process improvement ideas to teams.
  • Coordinates and plans all program related meetings and events.
  • Manages mentoring pool and assists with related communications between trainees, mentors, and program staff.
  • Tracks and monitors trainee progress throughout the program to ensure progress and performance is acceptable for Certificate of Completion.
  • Coordinates all aspects of bi-annual admissions process as a standing, high-priority project. Maintains database content supporting admissions process. Provides direction and support to admissions committee/chairs.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Demonstrated ability and expertise in handling varied aspects of project administration and management.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • PMP certification.
  • Ability to delegate tasks and negotiate accountabilities.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly developed organization and planning skills.
  • Proficiency with technologies, including Word, e-mail, Skype, Microsoft Project, database management, and online collaboration tools.


Required Qualifications


Minimum of the equivalent of a bachelor's degree in business, organizational management, or comparable field with three years of related experience.

Salary Range


$50,500.00 - $86,200.00 / Annually


The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
