Job Description

Tonies US is looking for a Senior Manager, tonies.com who is passionate about direct-to-consumer e-commerce. This individual will have a general manager mindset to drive performance on tonies.com and balance direct revenue and profitability goals along with the broader set of expectations and requirements from tonies.com as the online gateway to the brand. You will be equally comfortable contributing to the overall strategic plan for the tonies.com and rolling up your sleeves to dive into the details to tackle small tasks across merchandising, promotional set-up, inventory management, and site optimisation. You are highly collaborative and partner closely with cross-functional partners (Product, Digital Advertising, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Happiness, Finance) and external partners who support your business. This position reports to the Senior Director, E-commerce at Tonies USA.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategy & Leadership

* Develop and maintain the overall strategy for tonies.com and its role within the wider Tonies US business

* Operate as a DTC thought leader internally, sharing learnings and best practices with other international markets

* Drive a culture of transparency, accountability, performance-based management, teamwork, and other best practices in line with our Tonie principles

* Lead your direct reports with a focus on supporting their career growt


Pricing and Promotions

* Build pricing strategies that align with multi-channel pricing while also maximising DTC opportunities

* Apply deep understanding of full DTC promotional toolkit, strategically utilising the right tool at the right time

* Maintain tonies.com promotional calendars, ensuring all relevant promotion details are available and aligned with other sales channels


Merchandising

* Develop and implement a merchandising strategy to ensure new customers are educated about Tonies to lead them through the purchase funnel

* Develop and implement a merchandising strategy to ensure existing customers know how to maximise the use of their Toiniebox to drive incremental Tonie and accessory purchases

* Develop a deep understanding of how customers are engaging with tonies.com to identify opportunities for improvement

* Partner with Head of Product for US Ecommerce to advocate for website developments that will improve website performance

* Partner with Head of Growth and User Acquisition and the broader Marketing team to obtain the appropriate level of paid traffic support

* Keep current with short and long-term DTC market trends and adjust merchandising and support plans accordingly

* Conduct daily “walk the store” merchandising and assortment reviews


Inventory Management & Operations

* Partner with Supply Chain to develop an inventory plan that balances availability and inventory levels while simplifying operations

* Monitor customer transit time and ensure that delivery promises are being adequately met

* Build models to forecast product demand for key deal events and the Holiday period

* Build and maintain relationships with Tonies USA supply chain team, Tonies global supply chain team, third party logistic partners, and manufacturers to help identify value chain improvement opportunities

* Determine launch and ongoing replenishment inventory needs and place orders as required at the required cadence

* Ensure that all compliance requirements such as ADA accessibility and tax collection are being met

* Partner with Customer Happiness team to ensure that your customers are obtaining the appropriate level of support to maximise Net Promoter Score (NPS).


Finance & Reporting

* Maintain a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecast.

* Maintain and improve the Weekly Trading Report to actively manage the business and keep stakeholders informed of business performance

* Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed to identify business opportunities to improve ecommerce marketplace performance


Requirements

  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Must possess knowledge of Google Suite and similar tools.
  • A positive attitude, self-motivated, self-aware and eager to learn.
  • Candidates should be passionate about ecommerce, digital, and products that enhance a child/family’s experience and trajectory.
  • Great attention to detail.


Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience with P&L responsibility for a $25 Million+ revenue per year business

* Strong expertise in running a Shopify store along with off-the-shelf Shopify Apps

* General management mindset with a strong sense of ownership for your channel

* Always on mentality during game time moments like key product launches, Black Friday, etc.

* A roll up your sleeves mentality, with a passion for problem-solving, big and small

* Unrelenting commitment to seamless execution and attention to detail

* Strong understanding of the different roles that a brand website needs to fulfill and how to proactively balance those competing objectives

* A team player with strong interpersonal skills who enjoys working cross-functionally

* A high level of learning agility and comfort with ambiguity in a startup environment undergoing rapid growth

* Time management skills to prioritize work while under pressure

* Comfort with a remote working environment with ability to travel domestically (10%)

* BA or BS degree; MBA a plus
