In this job, you’ll be a hands-on individual with team leadership skills focused on leading, facilitating, and managing operational and continuous improvement projects and programs in the Distribution Organizational Unit related to Performance Management and Operational Support. Typical projects will involve an appropriate usage of tools and processes related to Lean and Six Sigma practices to ensure successful accomplishment of projects and associated goals.

- Manage large scale projects, initiatives, and programs having high safety, operational, customer, and financial impact that support SCE and OU goals and strategic plans. Perform project management functions, including project proposals, project plans, business cases, schedule, project scope definition, risk analysis/mitigation plans, resource requirement identification, and monitor progress.
- Create and implement performance reporting and dashboard strategies.
- Support the storm and incident management teams.
- Research best practices and conduct cost benefit analysis. Identify and recommend areas for continuous improvement within Distribution, and strategies to address and initiate projects as applicable.
- Analyze data, feedback, and business issues of high complexity to ensure alignment with Distribution goals and strategies.
- Manage the health of Distribution work portfolio by monitoring performance and implementing strategies to meet or exceed corporate OU goals.
- Lead cross-functional and inter-departmental teams to achieve project and program objectives; facilitate meetings, presentations, and discussions to identify strategies for implementation and sustainment, continuous improvement, and communicate status updates.
The essentials
- 10 years of project management experience.
- Experience with leading performance management and/or process improvement initiatives.
The preferred
- Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt or 6 Sigma Green Belt.
- Demonstrated ability managing, coordinating, and performing complex quantitative business analysis.
- Project Management Certificate.
- Experience using Microsoft office suite.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, IT, or other field.
- Developing and delivering presentations to senior leadership.
- Experience in electric utility business with proven understanding of performance management principles and practices related to distribution construction, maintenance, and planning.

- The position’s work mode is remote. Employee can work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
- This position may require occasional storm support and Incident Management Team (IMT) duty, which may require working outside of normal business hours.

- This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email. Candidates who have previously passed this assessment, in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
