- Liaise with program officer and senior leadership at these funders.
- Strengthen relationships with foundation staff to ensure Save the Children remains a partner of choice for donors.
- Research current foundation interests and trends in order to develop cultivation plans for each donor.
- Work closely with colleagues in our programs, policy, finance, legal and communications teams within Save the Children US and globally.
- Develop concept notes and proposals that outline how Save the Children and the foundation could partner on specific projects.
- Steward awards under management within these large, complex funders to ensure proper reporting requirements are met.
- Independently secure $2-4M in new revenue annually.
- Oversee and support data team to ensure data and visualizations reflect SMT/ SLT storytelling aims.
- Develop KPIs and other metrics, providing regular reporting to the SFP Management Team for decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with the Head, SFP, to establish and implement a data-driven management approach for departmental decision-making including, but not limited to, budget development, pipeline performance tracking and reforecasting.
- Lead SFP staff in KPI and revenue data reporting and analytics throughout the year, analyzing and identifying trends and patterns with data team.
- Support training SFP team members on new protocols and business rules (e.g., BBEC guidance from RD and SFP).
- Represent the SFP unit internally and externally for the benefit of the team.
- Lead data/reporting knowledge management for SFP; ensure guidelines, training modules, or other resources are documented and stored in an easily accessible way for SFP team members and socializes with SFP team.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the Head of SFP on topics of data-driven performance, organizational development and forecasting.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and collaboratively work to devise and implement plans that streamline processes and results delivery.
- Lead strategic special projects as needed.
- Serve on the SFP Management Team.
- Ability to write persuasively, clearly, and concisely, to synthesize information from multiple sources into a single, effective fundraising document
- Demonstrated skill in making persuasive and compelling presentations to secure contributions
- Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
- Professional history of meeting or exceeding fundraising or business development goals and objectives
- Experience in fundraising, sales, nonprofit management, philanthropy, or international development
- Track record of success in securing six and seven figure gifts from private foundation donors
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally when regular travel policies resume approximately 15% of the time
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 7 years of relevant experience
- Extensive knowledge of fundraising best practices
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
- Experience working with global colleagues in a federated model
- Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $98,600 – $110,200 base salary
- Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $88,400 – $98,800 base salary
- Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $108,800 – $121,600 base salary
