POSITION SUMMARY
Sony Corporation of America (SCA), the US headquarters of Sony, has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Director of Program Management who will support the launch of new businesses incubated within SCA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and implement the appropriate program management approach to support the launching of new businesses, including end-to-end launch planning for all internal workstreams across a diverse set of internal stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Envision, build, and lead the Project Management Office essential for standing up for new US-focused start ups inside Sony.
  • Work in close partnership with Tokyo-based software engineering teams and geographically distributed US operations teams to plan and implement purpose-built systems and tools environments
  • Coordinate across other Sony business units on technical and process collaborations needed to best enable a “One Sony” experience
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrated ability to launch new businesses, from business design to first new customer served
  • Proven ability to drive program/project success across time zones and cross functional teams
  • Proven ability to structure, hire, and lead diverse teams, as well as demonstrated ability to lead in a cross-functional environment across multiple time zones
  • 15+ years in program management, preferably in technology, software development, telecommunications. Strong preference for candidates with experience in all three.
  • Passion for enabling world-class customer experiences
  • Adaptability to changing requirements and the ability to be deeply creative while providing operational rigor a must
  • Demonstrated ability to design and oversee the process of launching new products and services within a large company environment, working at a start-up pace
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
  • 15+ years in program management, preferably in technology, software development, telecommunications. Strong preference for candidates with experience in all three.
  • Demonstrated ability to launch new businesses, from business design to first new customer served
  • Proven ability to structure, hire, and lead diverse teams, as well as demonstrated ability to lead in a cross-functional environment across multiple time zones
  • Proven ability to drive program/project success across time zones and cross functional teams

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $185,000 to $205,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
