Talent Management Director
We are looking for a Director of Talent Management to join one of the top 25 Public Accounting Firms.
The role requires a deep understanding of the strategy, process, and operational procedures of Talent Development. This will create and implement core talent development frameworks designed for our fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You will build and own all learning and development initiatives end to end, and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining strategic training initiatives and talent programs to be scaled across the Firm. This role should have an understanding of learning management systems and related integrated systems.
NOTE: This is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the talent trajectory framework is effectively used to guide career conversations and feedback to meet the evolving needs of the firm.
- Be a key stakeholder in firm’s new hire experience, evolving our current onboarding programing as needed and ensuring it continues to be right sized to our dynamic firm.
- Collaborate with employee resource groups and the learning team to create unified experiences that support the growth and unique needs of diverse and under-represented communities.
- Lead the strategy and redesign of high potential/ top talent development programming to support global talent readiness and deepen leadership bench strength to meet long-term business objectives for growth and succession.
- Oversee from inception to delivery level specific career development journeys and innovative program design to support the span of careers and career interests/mobility from campus hires to experienced leaders of leaders.
- Ensure consistency and compliance across all departments of operational standards by determining needs through talent assessment, high potential, and succession plans.
- In partnership with the Chief People Office and Chief Learning Officer develop and execute the talent development strategy, building innovative and inspiring solutions that are focused on high-impact outcomes that support the business strategy and culture.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and partner closely with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and colleagues to understand and analyze performance gaps, identify development needs and recommend appropriate solutions to strengthen talent at all levels.
- Direct end-to-end program operations using data and analytics for talent development decision-making within a matrixed organization including policies, budget, program delivery, evaluation/feedback, and measurement of business impact.
- Lead performance management for the firm including analysis of performance gaps, identifying development needs, creating developmental plans while leveraging tools (i.e.: 360 assessments, skill assessments, performance reviews and promotions).
- Ensure leadership and learning programs are progressive, relevant, and consistently deliver on expectations, identifying and monitoring key metrics to measure effectiveness and impact. Benchmark programs against industry best practices to ensure all programs are top quality and produce return on investment.
- Oversee change management and communication plans to ensure organizational awareness, stakeholder buy-in and high engagement of learning initiatives.
- Provide best practices, insights, consultation and coaching on topics such as leadership, team dynamics, learning design, change management and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills - in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Experience in Cornerstone or Workday; preferably Talent and Performance Modules.
- Previous experience in a professional services industry. Public Accounting industry is a plus.
- Maintaining knowledge of current and emerging human capital technology trends and experiences innovating with new technology tools and approaches.
- Experience designing and implementing Talent Development programs including instruction.
- Min. of 7 years of Talent Management Experience desired
- Professional certification in coaching with applied experience coaching various levels of leadership preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, Psychology or related field; Master’s or advanced degree in I/O Psychology or Human Resources certification a plus.
- Strong ability to inspire, coach and consult leaders through change and transformation.
