Senior Director of Sales
Our Client is a marketing platform that is transforming the alternative capital-allocating process by connecting institutional investors with quality hedge funds by delivering risk transparency powered by MSCI, analytics and branded media content.
The firm maintains a diverse client base of investors including Institutional Investors, Endowments, Fund-of-Funds, Pensions, and Family Offices as well as Alternative Investment Managers (Hedge Funds)
The Director of Sales will be an integral member of the FCN sales team and will be primarily responsible for onboarding Investors (Allocators) and Alternative Investment Managers (Hedge Funds) as well as facilitating the Allocation process.
The ideal candidate should be a creative thinker that can oversee and drive the capital allocation process in regard to marketing, investor relations and business development.
Key Responsibilities will include
· Develop and sustain relationships with capital sources representing the firm across all of its divisions.
· Serve as a liaison with existing and prospective clients, coordinating all capital allocation initiatives.
· Qualify prospective investors based on firm criteria, risk profile and investor goals.
· Qualify managers based on performance and sustainability on the platform.
· Ensure the identification of and establish contact with the appropriate type of investor given the particular objective.
· Coordinate business development initiatives including “roadshows” (planning, coordination, and execution), Client meetings, on-site meetings, conference calls and investor events
· Maintain the prospect pipeline and relationship database
· Develop and implement marketing materials together with the senior leadership team.
· Oversee Track and document the onboarding process for new fund investors
· Conduct industry research and analysis of trends, themes and competitor activity
· Provide a high level of service and satisfaction to existing clients.
· Special projects as needed
· Seamlessly integrate within the vast existing network of the firm’s connections.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree required. Graduate Degree or CFA preferred
· 7+ years of raising capital for hedge funds or 12+ years of financial services work experience (hedge fund background preferred)
· Strong connections with allocators and alternative investment managers (hedge funds)
· Cap Intro, Business Development at a fund or third-party marketing firm strongly preferred
· Strong exposure to diverse financial service products/asset classes with some expertise
· Series 7 and 63 or ability to get it within 2 months upon starting required
