The Role

  • Exceptional interpersonal and business communication skills, both written and oral, including a personal presence that is effective and inspirational across a variety of settings and stakeholders.
  • This is a salaried, full-time position, including full health benefits, generous vacation time (plus extra time off around the holidays), parking, 401k, FSA, and lots of fun team-building events throughout the year. Actual compensation within $125,000- $150,000 range will be dependent upon the individual's skills,
  • Key projects will include ongoing marketing campaigns for lead generation through both traditional and digital methodologies; oversee design and development of print materials, email campaigns, and other content creation; improve digital initiatives, including website conversion, SEO, Google AdWords, digital advertising; define KPIs to track and measure from our various channels.
  • Assist in the ongoing development of brand collateral, brand book and brand style guide across all divisions using the brand voice, logo/trims, packaging, brand fonts, and color palette to execute brand purpose.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional abilities in onsite and remote team management, fostering team growth, cross-functional collaboration, innovative and strategic thinking, as well as process development and execution.
  • Must be local to San Diego
  • This is an incredible opportunity to collaborate closely with Hughes Marino's Executive team and spearhead the leadership of the marketing team, process improvements and strategies for our rapidly expanding business.
  • As the Senior Director of Marketing, you will drive the development and execution of innovative B2B marketing strategies through effective copywriting and content marketing, utilizing analytics and insights, to optimize the client acquisition process and propel the company towards our growth goals.
  • Established track record collaborating with and proactively supporting senior leaders on communication strategies and best practices with a professional services mindset and consultative approach.
  • Ability to distill complex information into clear, digestible, concise manner; ability to write in a simple, personalized, direct, warm and accessible tone.

  • Highly collaborative attitude. Adept at building internal relationships and dialogue to facilitate processes.
  • Excellent understanding and experience working at an organization with a B2B sales process.
  • Must be an incredibly organized and detail-oriented person who can also see the big picture, thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment and operates best when busy and challenged.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and priorities and complete simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and people oriented.
  • Ability to create well-developed content in written, print and digital materials both independently as well as in conjunction with cross functional teams and projects.
  • Must be hands on in conducting the work needed to accomplish goals, as well as ability to oversee, mentor and lead others to the ultimate desired result. This position is for someone who enjoys doing the work themselves, quarterbacking projects in collaboration with others, and overseeing the work of team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications required.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a marketing leadership position with a B2B focused company.
  • Experience working within B2B Sales, Professional Services, or other comparable sophisticated industry experience.
  • Strong, well-rounded experience with all functions of marketing in a B2B company.
  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint to create processes, layouts and templates.
  • Experience using and implementing project management tools a plus.
