Hart & Highland is a socially-first creative and marketing studio based in Los Angeles. This role is currently a primarily remote, full-time employment role with monthly team co-working sessions in the Los Angeles area. We are looking for a candidate who will thrive in a start-up environment and wants to grow within a modern marketing and creative studio. Position Summary:
The Director of Content Marketing is responsible for overseeing and executing client and Hart & Highland marketing concepts and deliverables. This role reports to the co-founders of Hart & Highland, oversees the performance marketing and social media departments, and works collaboratively with the Creative Director and other team leads to create efficiencies and the most effective outcome for clients and Hart & Highland as a company. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for all forms of digital and social marketing and looks forward to working within a fast-paced team environment with multiple consumer brands. You should be up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, data, and consumer habits. You should have the ability to learn marketing platforms as needed for clients. You should have excellent analytical skills, communication skills, attention to detail, high level of determination to meet and overcome challenges. You should be ready to take initiative, keep projects organized, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with coworkers and clients. You should be passionate about being an active part of a fast-growing agency that wants to blow clients' minds with our killer work.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support the Performance Marketing and Organic Social Media departments
- Develops and manages the execution of strategic plans and the implementation of content tactics to reach objectives and KPIs
- Support the development of Hart & Highland case studies
- Manages the development, production, and implementation of internal and external marketing campaigns
- Support with review/approval of ongoing reports and client presentations
- Support with review/approval of copywriting for digital ads, email marketing, social media, blog, marketing materials, and website needs
- Oversee marketing programs and how content will be used, and must use their leadership skills to motivate teams, coordinate different content ideas, modify them as necessary, and approve them for release
- Work collaboratively with Hart & Highland team members and clients
- Collect data, read, analyze, and interpret marketing results and constantly optimize for efficiencies (ROI and KPI’s)
- Perform ongoing research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
- Support with media planning and budget allocation
- Collaborate with the creative team for required design deliverables
- Constantly optimize marketing activities to improve ROI
- Keep your fire lit and stay curious in the ever-changing digital marketing industry. As we all know, complacency kills.

Education, Experience, and Requirements:
- Must have at least two years of marketing experience
- Must have experience with content and campaign strategy
- Must be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet processing software
- Experience with performance-driven SEO strategies is a plus
- Experience with direct-to-consumer brands is a plus
- Must have one of the following: a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with project management software is a plus (asana, Airtable, Slack, etc.)
- Experience with Shopify and Squarespace is a plus
- Must have hands-on experience with email, SMS, paid social, and organic social media
- Experience managing others is a plus
- Experience with display advertising is a plus
- Must have experience managing website and marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMRush, etc.)
