Data Axle provides data, applications, and services that help organizations make and save money. Our commitment to accuracy, service and innovation drive customer acquisition, retention, and product enhancement. We are currently seeking a Sr. Director, Marketing.
This Sr. Director, Marketing role will own the content strategy, search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, social, and other non-paid media channels to accelerate customer acquisition and increase the lifetime value of customers in the small and medium-sized business (SMB) market.
Responsibilities:
- Own marketing strategies, including content strategy, and oversee execution for all campaigns and programs related to organic and owned media marketing channels, including web properties, SEO initiatives, email campaigns, organic social media, and online content.
- Partner with A/B testing, UX design, and Creative teams to continuously improve user experiences and performance.
- Partner with analytics to develop performance management models and dashboards to measure channel performance and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Craft and execute the content development and distribution strategy, including owning the content planning and calendar.
- Own and manage marketing channel performance and revenue growth throughout the customer funnel from prospect to new order conversion, upsell, resell, and win-back for all channels that don’t rely upon media spend.
- Drive customer acquisition and revenue growth by driving leads, sales activity, and new sales opportunities through organic, owned, and earned media channels.
- As needed, work cross-functionally to execute initiatives and projects.
- Directly manage and mentor a team of 2-3 direct reports.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, from Marketing to Sales to Product Management, to produce valuable content to attract customers, nurture prospects, increase conversion rates, promote customer upsell, and drive repeat purchases.
- Articulate your vision and deliver regular channel performance updates to executive management.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
- Extensive experience managing the depth and breadth of non-paid media marketing initiatives with experience operating at similar seniority.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Curious and self-directed in staying current on industry trends and best practices to improve channel strategy and optimize campaign execution.
- Proven experience creating and executing a content marketing strategy at scale at a company where content marketing drove traffic and customer acquisition.
- Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and enjoys the challenges of growing and scaling marketing capabilities.
- Ability to think both strategically and operationally.
- Demonstrated analytical and performance marketing abilities to tie activities to quantifiable results and revenue growth.
Education, Experience, and Certification:
- Supervisory, coaching, and mentoring experience with direct reports.
- Experience in Hubspot and Marketo is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business, or equivalent experience, is required.
- Demonstrated Business to Business (B2B) experience marketing to small and medium-sized businesses in the USA.
- Five (5) years of experience in a similar role and seniority is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and accountability to track and measure channel performance.
