We were founded in 2008 by pre-eminent psychiatrists and psychologists and treat 6,000+ patients per year. With the critical need for mental health care and eating disorder treatment, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, we’re looking for passionate and qualified professionals who will live out our mission to help save the lives of our patients.


What You’ll Be Doing


This is by no means a “behind-the-scenes" role, as your work will help the company serve patients daily in a multitude of ways.


Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of all marketing initiatives including field-marketing, digital-marketing, communications, public relations, professional relations, and the correlating activities, both external and internal, for the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders & Severe Malnutrition. The position directs the field-marketing team, marketing and communications team and additionally provides general oversight and direction for all ACUTE related digital-marketing, communications and public relations and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with all other functions of the organization.


The position reports to the Vice President, Field Marketing of Eating Recovery Center (ERC) but serves as a member of the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders leadership team. This position participates with the Joint Management Committee (JMC) with shared reporting to the ACUTE Executive Director and other management staff in charting the direction of the organization, assuring its accountability to all stakeholders, and ensuring its effective operation.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • The collaboration of all ACUTE related marketing efforts, that are shared responsibility with ERC, Denver Health, and/or other contracted agencies.
  • Ensure articulation of ACUTE’s desired image and position as a Center of Excellence, with consistent communication of image and position throughout the organization and industry to drive growth evident by increasing referrals and admissions to ACUTE.
  • Responsible for the coordination of media interest in the organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of:
  • Responsible for the coordination of print and digital content direction, design, production and distribution of all organization publications and materials.
  • Regularly conduct relevant market research and coordinate and oversee field-marketing strategies and activities to monitor referral and admission trends.
  • A comprehensive field-marketing, digital-marketing, communications and public/professional relations strategy that will enhance ACUTE’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public, driving business growth on all fronts.
  • Responsible for coordinating the design and appearance of all the organization’s collateral print and electronic materials.
  • Develop, coordinate and oversee ACUTE resource materials to continually assist in the marketing, communications and positioning of the organization including the oversight and use of Salesforce as the CRM resource for accurate referral and admission data to drive all B2B and B2C strategies.
  • Lead projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events such as professional on-sites, conferences, continuing education, program visits, etc.
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of:


Planning and Budgeting
  • Evaluate and incorporate additional sponsorship requests as deemed feasible.
  • Recommend and report on short and long-term goals and objectives to the JMC.
  • Run a management process to keep constituencies informed and ensure team responsible for execution is on-point for timely deliverables
  • Keep informed of developments in the industry to help ACUTE operate with initiative and innovation, driving continued growth.
  • Develop management process to ensure relevant teammates are checking in and confirming plan execution status as a team and that roadblocks or potential barriers to on-time grand opening are escalated and resolved prior to delaying the go-live.
  • Develop and manage the annual strategic plan and budget for CE events, corporate marketing sponsorships, conference, and symposiums.
  • Ensure budget line items are allocated and tracked
  • Articulate how field events will support overall annual growth strategies.
  • Identify dependencies or linkages between key operational or clinical activities and field marketing activities and indicate milestones on project plan.
  • Ensure post-event feedback loop, post-event promotions and capture of planned changes for subsequent events
  • Develop short and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing team and their correlating activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
  • Develop the field market playbook for service line and new facility launch
  • Develop the strategy, metrics for success, promotional (internal and external) and operational plan and deadlines, including responsible persons, in close collaboration with PRMs, COO of ACUTE, CDO & VP of ERC and Operations team.
  • Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures necessary to the productive operation of the marketing department.
  • Work with PRMs, ACUTE COO and Clinical Leadership to define the marketing and field sales activities that shall be deployed to support expansion launch(es) along with deadlines and owners assigned. This will include pre-launch or facility opening related work.
  • Responsible for the achievement of annual marketing goals and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress to the JMC.


Leadership & People Management Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective support and management for all positions supporting ACUTE marketing.
  • Recruit, train, appraise, supervise, support, develop, promote, and guide ACUTE marketing staff.
  • Attend industry events and identify emerging best practices, communicate key learnings to the larger team and share that knowledge across ERC and ACUTE as well as incorporate it into your work.
  • Engaging your team in process as well as tasks; encouraging them to challenge ideas for the better good of the organization.
  • Design, support and oversee cross-functional teams as ACUTE grows its marketing team.
  • Providing direction and resources, removing barriers and helping develop people’s skills, articulating expectations and clarifying roles and relationships.
  • Maintain a team culture that attracts, retains and motivates top quality professionals on the ACUTE team.
  • Engaging your team in the education and understanding of ACUTE’s value-proposition.
  • Modeling behavior; and coaching people to success.
  • Respecting and using the skills, expertise, experience and insights of all professionals on your team.
  • Effectively enable your staff so they are productive on behalf of ACUTE by:
  • Transmitting ACUTE’s values, vision and direction through your leadership style.
  • Support the relationship between marketing and admissions to drive referrals and admissions.
  • Anticipating conflicts and facilitating positive resolutions that drive a comfortable work-environment.
  • Encouraging you team to question organizational assumptions and ask strategic questions; ensuring quality decision-making.


Qualifications


  • Minimum of 8 years progressive managerial experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience successfully planning and managing projects, events and marketing project management or sales team management.
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and managing marketing and community relations functions
  • Experience with budgeting and running budget management processes
  • Work Hours/ Shifts: Generally, Monday through Friday; however, some evenings and weekends required
  • Minimum of 10 years healthcare experience preferably in behavioral health and/or eating disorders
  • Demonstrable experience collaborating at all levels of an organization, including Board/senior leadership, lateral teammates, direct reports and individuals within a matrix environment.
  • Ability to travel: Frequent national travel throughout the U.S. (~30%)

Compensation starting range for the ACUTE Marketing Director role is $105,000 to $140,000 plus bonus potential. Ranges are based upon market expectations and are dependent upon candidate experience.
