Job Summary
Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Conference Solutions, will be responsible for maintaining the account in accordance with the approved budget while meeting client expectations for conference solutions. You will be expected to maintain excellent relationships with employees, guests, and the client, as well as other departments within the operation. You will be responsible for promoting the professional growth and development of the entire team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the communication of technical and hospitality requirements between internal and client parties
• Maintain an understanding of site AV capabilities to facilitate constantly evolving client needs
• Maintain a general knowledge of Unified Communication tools for day-to-day business practices and complex client events
• Establishes and maintains rapport with outside purveyors who provide services for the Client and its guests through the Conference Solutions Department
• Effectively collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions of the company to capture and service events.
• Ensures that department personnel are following all procedures, policies, and guidelines, as established by Company Conference Center management
• Knowledgeable of conference room technology (and trends)
• Plans, evaluates, organizes, and directs the activities of the Conference Planning Managers, Audio Visual Manager and Administrative Assistant, and oversees the activities of Conference Services Operation through the individuals mentioned above
• Responsible for anticipating needs, forecasting results, analyzing and arranging work processes for personnel in the department

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation and succession planning
• Strong catering experience required
• Manages time effectively and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines
• Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills, and must possess attention to detail
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Conference Solutions, Workplace Solutions, and/or Facilities Management
• Effective problem solving and conflict management skills
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional relevant experience
• Supervisory, scheduling, training and coaching skills
• Exceptional business etiquette and client relations
• Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
• Ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptions
• Proven track record to achieve company goals in compliance with company/client policies and procedures
